Banshee

"... highlight of this afternoon's events. Biking to market in the rain for fresh rye bread and some telephone cable, she came upon an old man in a black robe walking ..."

GUEST MUSICIANS

NOTES FROM 54 SECONDS: Great show, I thought. Seth Orell from Ginger Mackenzie's band sat in on drums and played his karate-master ass off.  The recording itself is a mix of room mic and soundboard. [During Jaded] listen to the banshee wail at the start of the solo.

.

Sp: "I have guitar in my monitor. No, I don't want any guitar. I just want more of my voice."

Poppy Seed: Spencer is nice and clear, although the mic is feeding back ever so slightly in spots. Back-up vocals are a little quiet.  One of the best bits in this song (aside from Spen's melt me vocals), is the excellent guitar solo!! Damn it's good!

Sp: "Hey, there's something feeding back in my monitor a little bit. Um.. My vocal. Yeah, it's just on the edge and feeding back. Here's a tune called Jaded."

Jaded: Yowsers, what a freakin' cool scream, and the banshee effect that Stewart mentioned is so cool!!!!

Sp: "Thank you"

You Are Not Me: This is a pretty one.

Foolish Me: This is definitely one of the coolest intros I've heard so far. I want to see this one live real bad!

Sell It To A Girl: Beautiful intro!!! Spencer starts out first with gorgeous floating guitars, then Glenn comes in with some slow spooky low bass, before Stewart comes in with his flawless solo. I wait for this every time. I love his solos throughout. I like Seth's take on this also. Beautiful ending!!

Gl: "Thank you very much"

It Got You Thinking: There's a slight echo at the start of  Spencer's vocals, which are strong & really full bodied. Boy they sound good!  I really like the mix. Beautiful bass line, COOL guitar solo!!  I especially LOVED the outro this time!! It is definitely THE coolest I have heard yet!! Mamma Mia Perfecto!

Sp: "We've got one more for you. We have T-shirts, CD's, all kinds of other shit at the front. Grab a few bumper stickers, sign our email list. Thank you all very much. Cycarney (sp?) up next. They're very cool. Dewato, great band.

Strange Day: Always a fantastic closer. This song really rocks!

Sp: "You all have a good night."
