"This is the story of a boy and a girl.
Neither sad nor of undying happiness, it is however......"

GUEST MUSICIANS

.

"The club has this great old Hammond B3 on which I had pure eargasms,
since I rarely get to play the real deal like that." -- Stewart Cochran

.

First I would like to say of the guest drummer Earl Harvin. He does a fantastic job throughout. I like the tunings on his skins (Just right!), and I like his style. More Earl please!!

Early Warning: This is probably my favourite song ever. It has that little bit of everything that I need. In this show it starts out with static noise from Earl & Stewart messing in the background, while Spen is playing a slow wailing guitar solo, before leading into the depths of Glenn's bass line. Glenn is the driving force (combined with the drums), giving it that dark edge during the verse. Spencer's vocals are a little quiet at first, although still clear & not muffled. The chorus bringing us that feeling of hope. Smooth & surreal! Listen for that bit during the 2nd verse when Spencer screams out "Don't let it get you down, you know that's what they say" Ohhh ... I LOVE that bit!! <GRIN> The harmonies are beautiful in this too. A great start to the show.

Jaded: This is such a cool song!!! Not sure what else to add, except it always sounds fantastic!!

Sp: "Looks like you guys having a good time tonight? Yeah this is a cool (?) . This is a tune called "It Got You Thinking"

It Got You Thinking: This is the song that got me hooked! Brilliant everything! Then.. Spencer is playing a beautiful solo, and all hell breaks loose ..lol.. for a wrinkle in time.... Beautiful vocals and really cool outro from Spen... Note this... Glenn plays such an amazing bass line all the way through this song!! I would have like for him to be a fraction louder -- oh well, beggars can't be choosers :o)

Sp: "Let's get this thing back in tune for you guys. We had a little bit of a scene in the middle of that."
St: "We have cd's and really cools shirts over there, by the ... "

Poppy Seed: *sigh* It's everything I remember and more!  Spencer vocals are what hook me. I love how he sings this one!

Sp: "Let's hear it for Earl Harvin on drums. That guys amazing. It you get a chance try to catch The Earl Harvin Trio when you can, when they're in town. Very awesome band".

Foolish Me:  Stewart's popping corks in the intro <grin>... Glenn's sexy bass kicks in, complete with that delicious pause. I LOVE this song!!  Earl's drums are bitchin' (Can I say that?! It's not very lady like.... what the heck.. I'm going with it).

Sp: "You guys still doin' okay? ...Awesome. You guys gonna keep partying all next week?.. oh come on, let's do a little better than that."

You Are Not Me: Mmmm..... Mellow....  Spencer's beautiful quivering vocals.... The arrangement is hypnotic, especially in the middle break. Gorgeous harmonies.

Sp: "This tune's called Nashville."

Nashville: This is one cool song. In this version, there is a new echo effect during the second verse and bridge, giving the song that dream like state.

:::::This is the spot Glenn is messing around on mic with funny voices <grin> He's too adorable <grin>::::

Gl: "Thank you, thank you...hack, hack, hack, hack...  yeah"

World Stood Still:  Stew melts into a GORGEOUS solo....  *sigh* Glenn & Earl meld in.  ... Spencer then brings us into his world with a few warbling guitar notes, before gracing us with his low enticing vocal. The harmonies are better than beautiful in this one. I don't think I can fault it. Dropping into the cool bridge, before a short & very cool guitar solo. I hope I get to hear this one again soon.
When I heard this song, I knew I had a new favourite!

Sp: "We've got time for a couple more for you. A tune called Wanted.... (plug merchandise/list). Once again a big hand for Earl Harvin on drums. Like I said this is called Wanted.

Wanted: The phrase "To die for" comes to mind!!!

Strange Day: This is such an awesome song!! Spencer is amazing -- musically & vocally. His solo's kill! . During the intro Glenn is using that same sound he used in the intro of Foolish Me. I have no idea what it is, but it sounds SO cool! Earl rocks! No doubt there!! Thick with creativity!!

(( GOOD LUCK! ))

All up, it shows how hard these guys have been working lately (I don't know that for sure, maybe they are naturally amazing). There are lots of guitars in this show. Stewart's keys are a bit too quiet throughout which bugs me a little, but everything still sounds fantastic!!!!  The backing vocals throughout are fantastic. You can actually hear them, as opposed to some shows when I was listening on Clubcast live. Glenn is amazing as usual, and this is the first time I had heard him on back-up vocals, so it makes this show extra special!!!
